Workshop - Mexican Bark Art

Art workshop. Ages 9-99. Small boutique classes of 8.
Spread over 2 weeks. 2x 2.5 hr sessions)

Amate bark painting is a Mexican folk art known for its colour and vibrancy, depicting nature and daily life. In Mexico, the paper is created from tree bark and then hand painted.

For this workshop we will use pre-made Mulberry paper. You will choose a selection of drawings to arrange in your own individual style, and use transfer paper to trace the images. Then the fun begins! Choosing wild colours from our posca paint pens and fluro acrylic paint selection!

No experience or special talents are needed. Just enjoy the process and the serenity!
This project is spread over 2 weeks.
You will take home a paper artwork size A3 which you can have framed using a standard off the shelf frame.

Evening adult classes - A nibble platter included and please feel free to BYO wine or bubbles.
Tweens, teens and day classes - A nibble platter, an exotic juice included.

Tea and coffee available. Or you can pop into the cafe a few doors down.
